Radiohead - The King of Limbs (English)

A little strange title and absolutely unique cover artwork across whole discography prompted that group is in good shape and they're gonna present something really worth hearing. I immediately got limed and...I couldn't be less disappointed.

With a little hyperbole I could say that I found out about new album by my favorite musician by coincidence. I would hear it sooner or later anyway, I just can’t think about where would I be without it. I vividly remember when it happend. In old times, when myspace ruled as a precursor of Facebook I heared Harmony Korine for the first time right there. Of course, I’ve never heard it before, but I felt like it was in my brain for long time and I loved it. It was exactly what I wanted to hear.

2011...

In my New-Year’s dream I look into dark room. It’s few minutes after midnight, the calendar tells 1st of January. In front of me I can see figure standing beside a window silently and without move watching fireworks painting in the night sky. It’s little cold in that room, but the figure doesn’t shiver at all, like it didn’t feel the low temperature. In can hear muffled explosions of petards coming from afar, which means people out there are celebrating the end of past year and beginning of the one coming. Whose is that silhouette almost overlaid by all these lights? Why is it standing motionless at the window instead of rejoicing with others? And why is it alone?

Linkin Park - A Thousand Suns (english)

So I decided to play old good Linkin Park after a long time. I used to worship Hybrid Theory-Reanimation-Meteora albums, then for long time nothing, then „Minutes to Midnight“ and a big change. Linkin Park stopped being Linkin Park and became Linkin Park. They Showed, that they can come with something different than everyone expect...and it was sucsessful, i guess.? I can’t tell, that I didn’t like MtM, but neither that i liked it a lot. There were some nice songs which i like to play even today (times, when i listened to them from morning to evening are over for a quite long time), but it was nothing very special for me. Well, I guess it’s time to finally write what am I trying to do here. This was supposed to be some kind of introduction shortly describing my attitude to this band. So why I decided to play them? Well yes, it was because of new A Thousand Suns album.
